after 7 months...

It has been 7 months since I last blogged...It has been 7 months since I've started the IB programme...It has been 7 months since I have time to view people's blogs...(sort of exaggerating here. i don't view people's blogs, instead i stalk them on fb....lolz) Recalling back 7 months before, when i told some people that i'm planning to do the IB, quite a number of them warned me that it is a tedious program. And I thought that I would be able to handle the workload since i come from a chinese independent school in which we have classes till 3 in the afternoon and even on Saturdays.Plus, it's Chong Hwa Independent High School we're talking about here. And so, right now, many people often ask me 'How's the IB?' 'Is the IB killing you yet?' and what's my answer? The IB program causes you to be Infinitely Busy but I'm still alive so no worries .=> Seriously, no joking. You get loads of assignments for every subject everyday(not much difference from Chong Hwa), the schooling hours end at around 3pm (also the same as Chong Hwa,except that i don't have to go for classes on Saturdays) and you have to partipate in activities after school(quite similar to Chong Hwa also). The main difference is everything you do is graded. The assignments are graded, the presentations (nearly one every week) are graded, the unit tests are graded, your attitude in class(whether you speak or not, whether you're rude or not) is graded...
Enough of the 'not so good' part of the IB. Now it's the fun part. Seriously, doing the IB is a totally different experience. You get to experience a totally different education system in which you get to be part of the discussion, instead of the teacher talking only. Well... I have to admit that I'm still not very good at expressing myself. This is probably due to the previous education that I have received. But I know that I'll adapt to this express-your-opinion method of studying...One thing that I like about the local education system is that notes are given=less research work=save time.heehee....I can refer to the notes whenever I want to instead of spending time researching online.
hmm...so far I'm still coping with the workload although I get stressed out sometimes...=> smile
